Introduction

Rod Campbell was born on May 4, 1945. He is a Scottish author and illustrator of various famous children’s books, including the favorite lift-the-flap board book Dear Zoo.He is Born in Scotland in 1945. He was brought up in Zimbabwe and returned to Britain, where he performed a doctorate in organic chemistry. In 1980 he became interested in children’s publishing, where he started composing innovative books with interactive parts and repeated slogans.In 1987 he established Campbell Blackie Books in connection with his administrator Blackie. Campbell Books (as it became in 1989) was sold in 1995 to Macmillan Publishers.
